The trip planning is now taking shape and we have started to book our accommodation as we travel from London to Calais, down through France to Northern Spain and return via the Pyrenees.

We are still exploring the options for staying in Belgium at the start of the trip and given the range of accommodations available, hopefully we can find somewhere great and report back on a fantastic stay.

France

Fais bon voyage

Currently the first stop is in Epernay for a couple of nights where we have found this great apartment we hope will be a great place to call home for the weekend.

I am determined to make this part of our trip the unexpected highlight as I think the kids will love the Champagne region and all its treasures in the region. We shall see 🙂

With the Euro Disney experience ticked off during Easter, I am glad to say we do not have to experience it in school summer holidays! Last time out, we didn’t make it to Paris and its been a while for us so we are looking forward to returning and seeing how the city has changed over the last decade. This is one the kids are excited about

Following on from Paris, we have a short stay in La Rochelle with friends at a place that looks fantastic for the kids with activities, pools and lots of friends so we are definitely looking forward to some easy entertainment time with the kids whilst relaxing with friends.

Spain and beyond

¡Buen viaje!

Following on from France, we have booked a few nights in the hills at a Hotel with a wide range of activities for the kids and nature walks and experiences.

We are still planning the remaining elements of the trip but its slowly taking shape!
